I won't give until it hurts

It isn't surprising that Mother Theresa was anti-choice, but I'd like to highlight this quote

"So, the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love, that is, to give until it hurts her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts...

Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion."

Mother Theresa and the whole of Christianity's fetish for suffering is disgusting. Why should I give until it hurts? Why should I suffer? Suffering is bad, preventable suffering even worse.

I reject that it is my lot in life to suffer because pregnancy is a natural and involuntary consequence to sex. There are technological solutions to these problems of biology. It is not "love" to force people to hurt.

Who wants to be raised by parents who are suffering when they care for you? Who wants to force themselves on another?

What lessons do we teach when love is about force instead of being chosen?

  1. They make Al Qaeda look compassionate with every breath from their lives. At least the 9/11 hijackers were able to die instantly.

  2. Mother Theresa was **not** a good human being. She exploited people.

  3. The worst problem with that statement is that it indicates that mom should work harder, more hours. What happens to the child? Now you have a mom or dad or both, working "until it hurts" and you have parent-less child. Mother Teresa was a despicable human being and even if there were a heaven she would not be there.
